Sunday’s first match between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United provided the fans with plenty of entertainment. It was a 9-over contest due to a wet outfield, however, there were plenty of fireworks throughout the course of play.
Multan Sultans raced to victory with ease in the end, however, there was a heated moment in the match when Imran Tahir removed the hard-hitting batsman, Colin Munro. Islamabad United opener earlier smacked Shahid Afridi for three consecutive sixes, which is probably the reason why Imran Tahir gave him a send-off.
Multan Sultans Become the First Team to Qualify for Play-Offs
The Kiwi batsman didn’t take it lightly and called him a clown when he ran off to celebrate the wicket. Apparently, he is not a big fan of his trademark style of celebrating a wicket either.
I am tired of seeing Imran Tahir celebrate like that and I called him a clown and he took it the wrong way and then you saw what he said to me, so we will leave it at that, eh?
After that, there was plenty of heated discussion between the two when Munro was walking back to the pavilion.
