Mo Bobat appointed ECB’s new Performance Director for Men’s Cricket

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has appointed Mo Bobat as its Director of Performance for Men's Cricket. The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 9.

Bobat, now the board's player identification lead, will take over the responsibility of David Parsons, who stepped down in July. He will work closely with national selectors Chris Silwood, newly appointed head coach and Ed Smith to help conduct execution plans and the selection process.

There is only one continuation in the selection meetings for Mo Bobat – England's U-19, Lions and senior men's side. He was a major figure in the revolution of English cricket.

“I am delighted and honored to be appointed as the Director of Performance, given an encouraging time for English cricket. I look forward to working affectionately with both Chris Silverwood and Ed Smith, and as such, supporting the performance needs of our England groups and helping us fulfill our objective of being the most respected team in the world Is attracting closer, ”said Bobat.

“Developing strong relationships with our counties will be central to improving the size and nature of our capacity pool. I hope to guarantee that our highest potential players receive personal help and international-specific experience.

"It is a tremendously exciting job and the vision is that the quality of our counties and our superior infrastructure is knowingly and consistently achieved success in all formats."
