In Malaysia, 16th September is observed as the national holiday on the occasion of Malaysia Day. The day is also known as Hari Malaysia. One of the interesting things about the day is that if the holiday occurs on Sunday it means the next day Monday will be off for the entire nation apart from Kelantan, Johor, Terengganu, and Kedah. According to the Communications and Multimedia Minister, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, The theme of this year’s Malaysia Day is ‘Malaysia Prihatin’.

He clarified to say that the reason for choosing the themes is in the regard of caring, resolute, and gentle nature of Malaysia in decorating the trials and tribulation posed by the coronavirus crisis.

The Prime Minister of the country  Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said in a press conference at Benguna Pelita Auditorium, he said that on 1st July he accepted the logo and the theme of 2020 National Day and Malaysia Day which was Malaysia Prihatin.
