He has been the first vice president of Indian after the freedom from 1952 to 1957 and also the second president of the country from 1962 to 1967. He started Primary schooling from Thiruttani at K.V High School and then moved to Tirupati’s Hermansburg Evangelical Lutheran Mission School and Government High Secondary School in Walajapet. He has always been a scholar student throughout academic life.

For his high schooling, he got admission at Voorhees College in Vellore after taking Fine Art classes he moved forward to take admission in Madras Christian College at the age of 17, he completed his graduation and post-graduation from the same college. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan studied  Philosophy by chance as one of his cousins passed from the same college and his books automatically passed on to him, by choice or by force he had to pursue Philosophy.

At the age of 16, Sarvelpalli was married to his distant cousin Sivakamu, their marriage was arranged by their parents. In 1909, he was appointed at the Madras Presidency College to Department of Philosophy. In 1918, he was appointed as the Philosophy professor at the Maharaja’s College Mysore, by that time he also completed one of his books ‘The Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore’.
